“The Mountaintop” Reimagines MLK’s Last Night

Directed by Michael A. Lake, “The Mountaintop” is a surrealistic fantasy about a chance encounter between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and a mysterious hotel maid who brings him a cup of coffee and prompts him to confront his life, his past, his legacy and the plight and future of his people. Jean-Remy Monnay of The Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York spoke about this upcoming production with Victor Max Valentine and Sina Basila Hickey for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
