Volunteers are the heart and soul of The Sanctuary for Independent Media! They make us a thriving and vibrant community arts and media center. Whether you come with specific expertise, are interested in learning a new skill, or just want to help your community, there’s room for you at the Sanctuary!
If you are seeking credit-based volunteering through an academic institution or another program, please refer to our Internship page for more information and application details.
Thank you for your interest in supporting our work!
Ongoing Volunteering Needs:
Editing: Help us edit our media, from audio to videos; or help us organize our archives.
Events: We are always in need of people power! Whether it’s event setup, managing activity stations, event cleanup, or organizing, there’s always space for helping hands.
General: It takes a village to run a non-for-profit, so we always appreciate those that can aid us in construction, gardening, janitorial duties, organization, etc..
Production: At the Sanctuary, we produce a variety of media! We would love experienced help in running audio, cameras, lights, video, and anything else our production team might require.
*training included
Promotion: Spread the word about the Sanctuary through posting and sharing brochures, flyers, newsletters, social media posts, and all other promotional materials.
