Talking With Poets: Marie Kathleen, Jessica Rae, & Kate Gillespie at Brass Tacks

When poets and writers walked into the Low Beat on January 7, 2020, for the Brass Tacks open mic, no one could have imagined that that would be one of the last poetry events at that venue. The world would be shut down in a little over two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On that winter night, we were fortunate to have a room full of poets ready to share their work. Today we are going to hear from three of those writers who took the stage – Marie Kathleen, Jessica Rae, and Kate Gillespie.
