Saratoga Joinery Woodworking

Are you interested in learning more about working with wood, or just hearing about cool community resources? Either way, listen up! Saratoga Joinery is a new non-profit that has machines, tools, training, and much more available to members from novices to professionals. Tori Colarusso, the Joinery’s executive director, describes the new space, the many tools available, and the organization’s focus on both safety and community. She also outlines plans for service projects and hands-on workshops to introduce folks to how to work with wood. The current class scheduled is for handcrafting a cutting board, but hear about other projects that may be offered in the future. Saratoga Joinery is at 69 Caroline St. in Saratoga, the former home of the Saratoga Children’s Museum. For more information, see www.saratogajoinery.org. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
