Roishetta Ozane is the founder and CEO of Vessel Project of Louisiana. The Vessel Project of Louisiana is a grassroots mutual aid, disaster relief, and environmental justice organization. For residents of “Cancer Alley” – and 85 mile stretch of the Mississippi River dominated by petrochemical industries – natural disasters, made worse by climate change, and chemical disasters go hand-in-hand.
