Lansingburgh Branch Re-opens

Troy Library’s Lansingburgh branch, closed since December 18th due to storm damage, re-opened with full services on April 1st. Laurie Dreyer, the branch manager, describes the renovation process for the library’s “new” building extension (1901) on the original building (1820). She also shares how great it is to be back home, the warm response from the regular patrons, and the importance of having two library locations in the city of Troy. The library welcomes donation of financial support and of books to sell as part of their effort to pay off the $92,000 repair bill. For more info, visit www.thetroylibrary.org. Better yet, stop by the library at 27 114th St. in Troy. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
