Youth Resources at Troy Library

For parents, care-takers, and others interested in stuff for kids, listen up! Carol Roberts, head of Young People’s Services at Troy Public Library, overviews their many summer activities, regular services and even resources for home-schoolers. She also provides tips for reading aloud to kids. Upcoming events include a Summer Reading Challenge where kids (and adults!) can earn prizes for tracking the books they’ve read. Other events include — for real! — fruit & veggie scultures, the science of toys, Pirates School, and more. The Library requests donation of school supplies for a free packed-backpack giveaway on August 22nd. For more details, visit www.thetroylibrary.org.
