“Utica: The Last Refuge” Follows Sudanese Family

Tuesday, June 20 was World Refugee Day. To mark the day Opalka gallery hosted a fundraiser for Refugee and Immigrant Support Services (RIISE). At the event, they screened the documentary, “Utica: The Last Refuge” about a family from Sudan who settled in Utica NY. After the screening, Moses Nagel spoke to the films’ director, Loch Phillips.
