“Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” at Otisville Correctional Facility

Actor, director, writer, and teacher Richard Hoehler created the Otisville Theatre Workshop at the Otisville Correctional Facility, providing an opportunity to explore the world of theatre for those incarcerated. He speaks with Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Arts Correspondent Andrea Cunliffe about the production of “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” at Otisville State Prison, their first live production in four years! The extraordinary cast performs works by Tennessee Williams, Sam Shepard, Eugene O’Neill, Samuel Beckett, and Anton Chekhov among others.

A special performance for outside guests will be held on Wednesday, June 14 at 6:30PM which will also be attended by the families of the men in the cast. To RSVP, please send your full names (as they appear on photo IDs) to [email protected]
