Community Media Reinvestment Act with Open Stage Media

Zeb Schmidt and Jeremy Clowe, from Open Stage Media in Schenectady’s Community Media Center at Proctors, spoke about the Community Media Reinvestment Act and about keeping local free speech alive with Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Andrea Cunliffe.

The Community Media Reinvestment Act is a bill, currently introduced to New York State Senate as S 2581 and A 5900, which will help to continue supporting media centers like Open Stage Media that serve communities across the state with local content on important issues, media workforce development opportunities for youth and partnerships with social service, cultural, and educational organizations that help contribute to community building through media.
