Saratoga Lakeview Mobile Home Park: an Update with Angela Kaufman

Back in 2021, when Mr. Giovanone purchased Lakeview Mobile Home Park, residents feared that his plans to expand the neighboring boat storage would put their homes at risk and displace them. Angela Kaufman, a resident of Lakeview Mobile Home Park who has been outspoken about changes in the park, has been served with an eviction letter from the park’s owner. Now she faces an eviction process which she feels is the landlord’s way to avoid the legal stipend for displaced residents when the park closes. If people are driven out early, the landlord is not responsible to help with the process.

Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Aileen Javier has been following this story. She spoke with Angela about the current situation which includes one family in the park that lost their roof of their mobile home.
