Halloween Kids’ reads & more

Turn off the lights, gather by a candle, and read some scary kids’ books for Halloween. Carol Roberts, head of Young People’s Services at the Troy Public Library’s main branch, suggests three books: “Trick or Treat Crankenstein” (Berger, 2021); “The Widow’s Broom” (vanAllsburg, 1992); “The Night Gardener” (Auxier, 2014); and “The Puppet’s Payback and Other Chilling Tales” (Hahn, 2020). Upcoming activities include Legos Club, Silly Science Night, crafts, and family games nights. For more details, visit thetroylibrary.org. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
