SWEAT Wage Theft Buffalo Lister 9’55 News

Each year more than one billion dollars is stolen from the paychecks of low-income workers in New York. A coalition of workers and community groups worked for years to pass the SWEAT bill to address the problem, only to have Cuomo two years ago veto the bill on New Year’s Day. April 12 saw statewide actions targeting Cuomo. We talk with Mary Lister a home health care worker and an organizer with the Queens’ City Worker Center.
