Professor David Bond Talks About AFFF Burning at Norlite

A recent report by Bennington College Professor David Bond shows that the amount of toxic fire fighting foam burnt at the Norlite hazardous waste incinerator in Cohoes is far greater than state and company officials have previously disclosed. A new website that compiles all the shipments of AFFF from the Department of Defense from 2016 to 2020 for burning has been put together. Norlite has burned more AFFF than any other facility even though federal and military officials believe that incineration is not effective in its disposal of the material.
