Afghan Activists Speak Out

Afghan activists Mariam, Audrea, and Naseema were interviewed by Brendan Maslauskas Dunn following a rally held in Albany in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan on August 28, 2021. The protest that the three organized was part of a global day of action. The three young women discuss the humanitarian crisis in their homeland, the plight of Afghan refugees, the rise of the Taliban, the US occupation, and women’s rights.
