For WOOC’s 2020 Climate special, we have brought together 8 prior segments. First we hear about the recent successful conclusion to the 8 year campaign to divest the state pension fund from fossil fuels. Then we hear from 3 of the main climate organizing coaltions in NY: NY Renews; the Movement for a Green New Deal, and NY Youth Climate Leaders. We get a reaction from the Climate Mobilization to the Democrats’ climate plan, Then we will hear from Prof. Bob Howarth, a member of the state’s Citizens Action Council to oversee the state’s new climate law. Bob Cohen will discuss the apparently successful effort to block the so-called E37 gas pipeline project by National Grid along the Hudson River.
