Heinzen Albany Co Clean Air 9’40 News 8-27-2020

On Wed. August 26, a hearing was held on the Clean Air Law recently passed 32-7 by the Albany County Legislature. Dan McCoy, the County Executive, has 30 days (Sept. 12) to sign or veto the law. We hear from Barbara Heinzen who has been active in the effort to stop the burning of tires by LaFarge Cement Plant in Ravena. The law would also halt future burning of AFFF (toxic fire fighting foam) at Norlite in Cohoes. With Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Radio Network.
