Rosy Galván & Lyndon Cudlitz on White Supremacy in the Media with Elizabeth Press

Last week the Capital District chapter of Showing up for Racial Justice, or SURJ, hosted an educational workshop entitled “Won’t the Real Slim Shady Please Stand Up: An Exploration of White Supremacy in the Media That Upholds It” at the Albany Social Justice Center.  Using video clips,  images, and text, Rosy Galván guided the participants through an overview of how the media upheld the concept of white supremacy in the United States across a span of time.

WOOC producer Elizabeth Press sat down with Rosy Galván and Lyndon Cudlitz from SURJ to discuss the workshop, white supremacy, the media and the work of Showing up for Racial Justice as  Lyndon explains.
