Faith “Ishie” George

Ishie {Ee-she-yeh} George wants to live in a world where everyone’s skin is glowing, hair popping, accessories are more than just decorative and career development is on point. This sought-after young creative and college student has been striving to have the next best body butter business out there. She is the creator and founder of Ishie by Kwene (@ishiebykwene) an eco-friendly whipped body butter company! She also has been striving to provide career-related education, experiential learning, professional development, and post-graduate opportunities for the benefit of college students and alums.
At the Sanctuary for Independent Media, Ishie works as an intern contributing to radio content production and scriptwriting for Hudson Mohawk Magazine, along with other exciting initiatives to ensure this year’s summer program is another enjoyable and successful time despite the pandemic.
When she’s not studying to achieve a BFA in Journalism, thinking of new ways to vamp up her business, you can find her participating in multiple extracurricular activities, eating buffalo chips from BWW, watching obscene amounts of Netflix without a trace of shame, and optimistically checking her email for new opportunities that’ll help her be the next big thing.
She grew up in Brooklyn, NY, but now she lives in Ithaca, NY, schooling and working on ways to implement all of her entrepreneurial dreams.
