HMM 06 – 30 – 22

Today, on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine:

We begin with Mark Dunlea’s report on the one million dollar grant the Capital District Latinos just received for their Cultural Empowerment and Community Engagement Center.

Then, Roaming Labor Correspondent Willie Terry brings us the news from the Troy School District’s Summer of Safety Resource Fair Kickoff, in a conversation with organizers James Chestnut, Director of Troy SNUG, and Jerry Ford, CEO of Team HERO.

Later on, RPI student Josephine Tonias brings us Coming of Age, a series in which she interviews Academic Counselor David Milford.

After that, as the seven-year-old right to same-sex marriage hangs under new threat, Producer Marsha Lazarus brings us the story of Valerie and Ivette, a married lesbian couple from Albany, NY.

Finally, in our weekly check-in with a community group, Jerry Ford drops by to tell us all about Team HERO.
