Katie Robbins, Director of the Campaign for NY Health, talks about the need for single payer healthcare which has never been more obvious during the COVID-19 crisis.

Today is Malcom X’s birthday. We will hear recorded excerpts from one of Malcolm X’s most profound speeches, “The Ballot or the Bullet” , delivered on April 3, 1964, at Cory Methodist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

And later on, Brandon Costelloe-Kuehn spoke with HMM correspondent Spencer Keeble about the Young Researcher program and some the students’ projects this year.

After that, In this second part of a two-part interview, Troy Mayor Patrick Madden talks about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the city budget, transparency in the budgeting process, and the city’s debt paydown.

Finally, we hear from Scott Jarzombek Executive Director of the Albany Public Libraries about current library programs during COVID, phased reopening plans, and funding.
