Opening Reception for the Underground Gallery: “Facing Change: Documenting America”

March 3, 2012 June 16, 2012 EST

Installed in the Underground Gallery, Facing Change: Documenting America is an exhibition features work by some of the nation’s most accomplished photographers, inspired by the Farm Security Administration photography project of the Great Depression. Dedicated to exploring new perspectives on our country’s most urgent problems, the Facing Change collective aims to influence public discourse by humanizing a wide spectrum of neglected and misunderstood issues.

Join visiting photojournalists for a walk-through of the exhibition from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on March 3, 2012. Walk-through followed by a community potluck.

The exhibition is on view 3/3/12-6/16/12.

We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
