NATURE Lab and Collard City Growers Workshop with Rick Lynn: Grafting

April 18, 2015 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm EDT

Learn and practice several different ways of making grafts, then have fun adding varieties of apples to one of our trees.  If you know of a tree with apples you like, bring a live scion (thin branch) from it and we’ll add it to ours! Workshop will be led by Rick Lynn, fruit grower and winemaker at Sand Hill Berries and Greendance Winery, with Rebekah Rice, local farmer, artist, and permaculturist at Nine Mile Farm. Rick Lynn is a fruit grower and winemaker from Southwestern Pennsylvania, and part owner/farmer at Sand Hill Berries and Greendance Winery. He has been growing and propagating his own berries and fruit trees for over 30 years.
