Exhibition Opening for Underground Gallery: Scrappin’ Upstate

March 8, 2011 @ 5:00 pm 8:00 pm EST

The personal becomes political in an exhibition integrating stories of young women in North Troy today with those of their turn-of-the-century counterparts. This exhibit juxtaposes large-scale prints of contemporary scrapbooks alongside images of diaries kept by young women growing up in the 1900’s Victorian-era Troy. Brenda Ann Kenneally with the Upstate Girls. In partnership with Rensselaer County Historical Society and Media Alliance; generous in-kind support of printing and copy work from Daniel Portnay Photography. Exhibition on view from March 8, 2011-June 4, 2011.
