“Dirty Wars” with Author Jeremy Scahill

Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield, author Jeremy Scahill is the National Security Correspondent for the Nation magazine and the author of the New York Times best-seller Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army (Nation Books, 2007). He is the writer, with David Riker, and a producer of the documentary feature film Dirty Wars–which will be released by IFC Films throughout North America in June 2013. Dirty Wars (2013) is a look inside America’s new covert wars, in which foot soldiers operate daily across the globe with orders from the White House to do whatever is necessary to hunt down and capture or kill those designated as enemies. This event is co-sponsored by Bethlehem Neighbors for Peace, Women Against War, Project SALAM and the National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms, Albany chapter.
