MORE ABOUT TROY BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Open the Door! Take the Tour! Troy Boys & Girls Club will be celebrating all of the wonderful things Boys & Girls Club has to offer the community! Everyday will be a different theme.
Our mission is “to serve the young people of our community by providing safe places and positive programs that enhance their moral, intellectual, social, and physical development”. The Troy Boys & Girls Club has provided over 100 years of service and a safe haven to local youth. We provide local and national programs to Club members ages 5-21 through our After-School Program, Teen Program and at Camp Barker, during summer camp. We are proud to offer a safe place for youth to grow, explore and to develop into productive members of society. The Troy Boys & Girls Club is, “The Positive Place for Kids”. The majority of the children we serve are ethnically diverse from lower socio-economic backgrounds and often, single parent homes.
MORE ABOUT FOUND ART IN NORTH TROY and FREEDOM SQUARE
“Found Art in North Troy” is a year long community wide public art project using found objects to address themes of re-purposing, re-use and sustainability.
Freedom Square is an urban cultural and spiritual oasis located at the mystical corner where 5th and 6th Avenues meet 101st Street a block from the Hudson River in North Troy, NY. Join us this summer as diverse communities collaborate in a series of public art workshops to transform an empty lot into a space for art, food and people!
