Community Media Quilt Project

October 17, 2009 October 18, 2009 EDT

Share in a collective celebration of the history of grassroots communication with this quilt-making workshop, to be held October 17th and 18th 2009. Bring your community media t-shirts, and we will add them to our quilt. Whether you are an experienced quilter and/or sewer, or someone whose always wanted to participate, join us! The final quilt will be auctioned in the Spring ’10 season as part of our upcoming 5th Anniversary Celebration.

Lynn Miller, San Francisco quilter, and Simone Steigler Sleeper, our Youth Leader quilter, will help with this workshop. We actually have in our donation box a few of these t-shirts to make in our quilt– Prometheus Radio’s great flame, and Pacifica Radio’s “Feel the Love.” Please check out your old community media t-shirts and add to our SANCTUARY QUILT!

We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
