Collard City Growers and NATURE Lab ’16 Garden Workshop #2: Composting, Soil Fertility, and Chickens

April 23, 2016 @ 3:00 pm 6:00 pm EDT

The health of a garden is rooted in the soil (pun intended). We will discuss the importance of composting and healthy soil ecosystems and show you how easily such health can be achieved organically. Micro-livestock, like our worms and chickens, will demonstrate how they boost fertility. We will meet at Collard City Growers located at 3337 6th Avenue. Workshops will start in the carriage house and end with hands-on activity in the garden and throughout the neighborhood as projects demand.
