Be The Media! Workshop with Ellen Rocco: Community Journalism on a Budget

Join Ellen Rocco, manager of North Country Public Radio, to learn the secrets of covering community news from a national perspective at a time when local journalism is in decline.
Be the Media! workshops teach multimedia skills to community members to develop urgently needed independent local voices. Our goal is to empower the public through independent media making, supplying them with the tools to tell their own stories through different mediums of media including video, radio, and journalism.
We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
