Organizer Challenges Party-Endorsed Candidate for Troy District 6 City Council Seat

Marketa Edwards is running to represent District 6 on Troy’s City Council. She’s challenging the candidate endorsed by the Democrats, Cheryl Kennedy, in the primary election on June 22. Edwards spoke with HMM correspondent Corinne Carey about why she chose to run for this seat, the experiences that led her to become a community leader, and the issues she hopes to tackle should she win. Early voting in this election starts on Saturday, June 12.
