WTO/99 Depicts the Historic Battle of Seattle Through Archival Media

Using only archival footage, the documentary film WTO/99 takes the viewer to the historic “Battle of Seattle” of 1999 where the people stood up against the WTO’s impact on human rights, labor, and the future effects of continued globalization. On Friday, October 16, The Sanctuary for Independent Media will have the film’s producer and editor Alex Megaro welcome audiences for a screening, post film discussion, and a Be The Media! workshop on using archival media ahead of the screening.
