Troy Council Closer to Passing Local Law 3 After Flock Data Released

Proposed Local Law No. 3, which aims to regulate Troy’s use of Flock license plate reader cameras, is moving forward. After being paused to gather more information, the Troy Police Department has officially released its data to the City Council. Joining Elizabeth Press to discuss her role in trying to regulate the use of ALPR data retention, in hopes of finding a better balance between civil liberties and policing, is Councilmember Noreen McKee.
