Troy City Council Meeting August 2026

Last week, the Troy City Council held a public hearing and invited residents to give remarks on the proposed Local Law Number 4. This ordinance would amend the city’s charter and narrow the mayor’s authority to declare states of emergency. During the hearing, the Council also unanimously passed 1 ordinance and 3 resolutions. The meeting adjourned with the president of the Troy City Council, Sue Steele, strongly condemning the city’s comptroller and the Mayor for their handling of the 2nd quarterly financial reports.
