Trump Honk and Wave Protest in West Sand Lake

As President Trump openly increases his push to institute authoritarian rule, throughout the Capital District at high traffic points, groups of concerned residents gather weekly to hold up signs to protect democracy and free speech, oppose the crackdown on immigrants, defend the environment, and to call to respect the rule of law. One of these weekly protests takes place in West Sand Lake in suburban Rensselaer County at the intersection of Routes 43 and 150 on Thursday during the rush hour from 4:30 to 6 PM. We hear from Eric Blasenheim, Susan Poisson-Dollar, and Al Hicks. By Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
