Visit Museums for Free

Looking for something to do to beat cabin fever? Hear how you can borrow passes for free entry to various museums in the region, or an Empire Pass for entry to state parks, or even snowshoes from Troy Public Library. Ian Hauck, head of adult and reference services, explains their museum program, lists a few of the most popular sites, and gives tips on how to find what’s available and how to improve your chances of getting some of the hot items. He also talks about Troy’s “library of things” that can be borrowed, including snowshoes, blood pressure monitors, and more. For information, visit www.thetroylibrary.org. Produced by Brea Barthel for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
