RAPP Calls For Reforms For Elderly Prisoners

Led by formerly incarcerated people and family members of people in prison, RAPP (Release Aging People in Prison) works to end mass incarceration and promote racial justice through the release of aging people in prison and those serving long sentences. It recently held a press conference to highlight two key bills: Elder Parole and Fair and Timely Parole Bills. LeAna Taylor, whose father has been in prison for two decades, discusses the effort with Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
