NAACP (Troy Branch) Wants Rensco Drug Dealer Registry Law Repealed

Today, Wednesday June 5, the NAACP Troy Branch President Renée Powell, along with other NAACP members, area organizations, and concerned residents of Rensselaer County gathered at the Rensselaer County Legislature meeting to speak out against the newly enacted Drug Dealer Registry Law. The NAACP presented an open letter opposing this legislation. Hudson Mohawk Magazine producer Elizabeth (EP) Press was able to catch up with Renée Powell prior to the meeting to hear why the NAACP penned this letter and her concerns about this new law.
