Anti – Hunger Advocates Push NY To Enact Universal School Meals

Advocates and lawmakers gathered at the New York State Capitol on Monday to rally for free school meals for every student in the state. Expanded federal guidelines require that at least 25% of a school’s students need to be eligible for free or reduced meals in order for the school to provide free meals to everyone. Emily Ledyard of Feeding New York discusses the proposal with Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
