Troy NAACP Freedom Fund Breakfast (Guest Speaker Jennifer Burns)
On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Hudson Mohawk Magazine Roaming Labor Correspondent Willie Terry attended the Troy NAACP Branch Freedom Fund Breakfast at the Italian Community Center in Troy. The guest speaker at the breakfast was Dr. Jennifer Burns, PhD and professor of History at SUNY Albany. Willie recorded her speech on the “Free Black Community In Troy, NY Before 1861.” This labor segment is part one of a four-part series.
