Talking Poetry, Travel, and Traditions with Therese Broderick

Therese L. Broderick, MFA, has lived the sweet life of a poet for more than two decades. Her poems have been published widely in several formats and have won awards both locally and beyond. She lives in Albany, New York with her optimistic husband, two fat cats, and a disheveled garden.

On April 19, 2018, Therese read her poem “The Daughter on Sunday Display” at the Third Thursday Poetry Night at The Social Justice Center in Albany.

In this first part of our conversation, we talk about her what inspired that poem, traveling with her husband, and how poetry fits into everyday life around the world.
