Residents Oppose Expansion of Sand Lake Mine

The Sand Lake Town Board is considering allowing the Rifenburg/Hoffay mine to expand by 70 acres encroaching on hundreds of residential properties. Local resident Tom Cetrino discusses some of the potential concerns such as blasts that rattle foundations, residential wells running dry, and noise and dust pollution due to truck traffic.
