Harbour Point Gardens Housing Crisis Update

Over 100 people were evicted from Harbour Point Gardens last week because the housing complex was deemed unsafe by the City of Troy. Rob Howard the General Manager of Harbour Point Gardens put out a statement Tuesday saying they knew there were non-structural brick issues and there was a plan in place to fix them. He questions the eviction. While the repairs are worked on, most residents are now staying at the TraveLodge in Albany at the owners expense. Rhea Drysdale a community member who showed up to support residents, spoke with Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Elizabeth (EP) Press.
