Center for Law and Justice Update on Jordan Young and Albany Police

Since being shot by the Albany Police on January 24, 2022 as part of an illegal stop while out walking his dog, Jordan Young, a father of two young children, has had to undergo 22 life-saving surgeries to repair abdominal organs shattered by the Police Officer’s bullets. The District Attorney has been seeking a 7-year prison term for Young, who suffers from mental illness, for allegedly taking out a knife when confronted by the police. The Center for Law and Justice (cflj.org)held a forum on May 17 to provide an update on the case and to get community feedback. Colin McNamara, Deputy Director of the CFLJ, discusses the forum with Mark Dunlea of the Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
