Youth Books: Science & Snow Horses

Looking for a fun or beautiful book for young readers? Carol Roberts, Young People’s Services Librarian at Troy Public Library, suggests (and reads excerpts from)four new books: “Odder” (Applegate, 2022) written in verse from the perspective of an otter and a shark; a graphic novel “The Aquanaut: A Story” (Santat, 2022); “The Science Spell Book: Magical Experiments for Kids (Florance, 2022) which explains concepts like pH tests and gravity through activities; and “Snow Horse: A First Night Story” (MacLachlan, 2022) by an award-winning author and award-winning illustrator.
