The Impact of Visibility and Art

Ahead of May 5th, the day of advocacy for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and two-spirit, Sina Basila Hickey spoke with Demian DinéYazhi’ (Diné) of R.I.S.E., director of the collective/ initiative/ organization which stands for Radical Indigenous Survivance Empowerment. They spoke about the complexity of increased visibility of Indigenous culture and issues and about the art’s impact on the success of social movements.
