Riverkeeper Promotes Dam Removal to Restore Fish Migration

Riverkeeper recently received a state grant to remove the dam on Mill Creek in the city of Rensselaer. There are nearly 2000 obsolete old dams in the Hudson Valley that impede migration for eels and herring. George Jackman of Riverkeeper talks with Mark Dunlea of Hudson Mohawk Magazine about the importance of the restoration effort.
