Replenish the Excluded Workers Fund Plus Permanent Alternatives

On January 19, 2022, Columbia County Sanctuary Coalition emceed a press conference in Albany to launch excluded workers’ demands for the 2022 legislative session, building on calls for a permanent alternative to unemployment insurance and an additional $3 billion for the Excluded Workers Fund (EWF). The representative voices in this segment are Sen. Robert Jackson, Assembly Member Marcela Mitaynes, Assembly Member, and Assembly Member Harvey Epstein.
