NY Good Cause Bill and Protests Explained by NYCLU

It has been an exciting week in housing justice. Advocates arrested in May pushing for the passage of the Good Cause Bill were arraigned in Albany and we saw reports of giant cockroaches shutting down the court. Today we air an interview Elizabeth Press did with Caroline Nagy to understand better the failed Good Cause Housing Bill and the protests in support of it.

OUTRO – Clayanna Lightbourn’ was fired from her job as a result of the events at the courthouse and the community is pulling together to help with her legal fees. Her arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5th @ 8am in Albany.
