November books & activities for young folks

Hear about book suggestions and upcoming activities for young folks in November, which is National Picture Book Month as well as Native American Heritage month. Carol Roberts, head of young people’s services at Troy Public Library presents four books related to social justice: “My First Day” (Phùng Nguyên Quang & Huỳnh Kim Liên, 2021); “Keepunumuk: Weeáchumun’s Thanksgiving story” (Greendeer, Perry & Bunten, 2022); “In the Name of Emmett Till” (Mayer, 2021); and “We Are Still Here: Native American Truths Everyone Should Know” (Sorell, 2021).
