Alexis Goldsmith of Beyond Plastics discusses the effort to stop the single use plastics. Plastics is made from fossil fuels and has a major climate impact. Two key legislative issues in 2023 will be opposing the chemical recycling (burning) of plastics and pushing for strong Extended Producer Responsibility laws, rather than the model developed by the waste industry.
